I remember being absolutely amazed at the metal face part.. Now I see the trick, but its still cool to watch.. The water rules, wonder how thats done.. I want to do a version of the water with shading, if I can achieve the effect.

Some cool graphics in here aswell.. French graphics artists rule.. Especially at drawing logos. :)

i love this demo, awesome effects and cool gfx ...

Metal face effect rocks! But unfortunatelly this demo is some kind of sequel to Authentic of the same group. The water effect is even similiar (or I would rather say - the same) like one presented in the previous production. Even the text which appears is the same. On some of the screens you can even see Authentic logo ;-)

The demo is quite nice. If it were not the metal face I would say that Authentic is much, much better and is one year older ;-)

I don't like 3D scenes in this demo. It doesn't fit here at all.

I voted for 4/5 on both production but Atome is half-vote weaker and it should get 3.5/5.

I really like solid-3d worlds!

I watched Skarla's demo times and times ... and finally this one is my favorite !

It's normal that it's a sequel of the Authentik because Authentik was disqualified from The Party 1995 (a shady story about unpacking the demo ...), so i think they wanted to take a "revenge" by using Anthentik effects on the demo but they ameliorated a lot all ... Atome cannot been considered as a remix nor really a sequel ...

Even i want to show the power and creativity of my Amiga to other people i make them watch Authentik AND Atome ^^

Does this work on 060? I can't get it to run... :-(

Any tricks?

comment by skipp604 on 12 October 2008

OK nevermind, tried with no startup-sequence and it works... I wonder though, how it affects the performance if at all?

Interesting demo, although the soundtrack isn't my cup of tea.. reminds me of "Arte" by Sanity, but bit worse (Arte is classic in all aspects :))

Demo is average in my opinion... nice static graphics, though.

there is a whdload fix for this one skipp, should make it run like a charm on your 060 ;)

comment by Frog on 12 October 2008

it makes me ask why ADA is still not crosslinked to WHDLoad where as WHDLoad is crosslinked with ADA right now and even Pouet.net

comment by extralife on 13 October 2008

yes, what frog said. I for one would at least be interested in a note at least, if a fix exist or maybe if there is a known workaround for 060 user's, maybe in the sideborder where all the other info sits for the demo. It might even have the sideeffect of a coder, hacking together a fix, if no known workarounds existed, who knows ? Just suggesting here........Anyways the demo is actually kinda nice and I allways kinda liked skarla's stuff, I allways thought they where a talented bunch and kinda hoped they would return someday to kick butt :)

Crosslinks are a good idea (whdload, youtube, amp for tunes,...) but content-wise, i'm a one man army working on ADA. Maybe i should open-source my baby someday...
