Another excellent demo. Awesome music and lots and lots of very nice effects, some of them not seen often in amiga demos. It also has a fake ending, it almost looks like the demo is done at the middle of it, but then the music just kicked in again, and the demo just got even better. Granted, not everyone consider this demo that great, but for me it's in my personal all time top-10.

Fantastic! I love this demo. I remember downloading it from a BBS with my old 14400 modem and being blown away by what these guys could get my 030/50 to do ;-) Ahh.. absolutely classic demo. One of my all time faves. Much better than Relic, imho.

yeah, this demo rocks, it has this feeling of old MegaDemos, but with newskool design, and new effects. Nice idea, and very good realization.

Just a stunning piece of work. Many different effects in this demo, awesome and well-matched soundtrack (I especially love the second part), great design.

Best of all it contained some of the original 'spirit' which was really fading (IMHO) from most other 'heres-another-3D-engine-with-jungle-music' demos which were coming out for years at that time, it made (and makes!) me feel warm and fuzzy again when watching it, and that's what a good demo should do.

It blasted my mind totally first time I saw it. And I still enjoy it. But why that fish?

comment by ToAks on 22 December 2003

i still love this demo, its got what demos need...GREAT MUSIC , Effects that mix with the music and LOVELY scenery...

EXELLENT WORK and it deserved to win..

Yeah! This is about the best you can get when watching demos on 030/50! Cool part changes, music and overall design.

The fish, for all of you who're wondering, was an off project idea that I came up with as Meson wanted to start on a project. I said 'Why dont you do a fish on a cracked river bed', and he did. I liked the idea of juxtaposing an impossible event.

comment by xeron on 21 July 2004

Hey Zone... any chance you could hit all the other NVX guys with a stick until they get their Amigas out of the closet and make another demo? Maybe for the next BP? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease? ;-) (well, you can't blame a guy for trying)

comment by winden on 20 May 2006

nice fast-paced demo, especially the music, but the code didn't live up that much

comment by corial on 11 October 2006

This demo is really my cup of tea! Very good and innovative effects and I am still crazy about that sunken ship scene! The music creates a perfect atmosphere and fits perfectly to the effects. This is well executed and I am still very much entertained even though this demo is actually 9 years old.

Excellent !

Oh, yeah. This is one of the milestones in Amiga demoscene history. Great effects and music (although not entrirely original).
