@Paradroid: it seems we are on the same shuttleride from Frankfurt Airport. I have not been able to find a photo of you, but if you recognize me (well, not wearing running gear, though), do say hi.

That's me looking at a bug at Sundown last year. My hair colour may change, but I'll no doubt have the same laptop open and the same expression on my face on the shuttle, lol (it's been a nightmarish few days and I'm now well behind schedule and well over my memory budget, eeeek!)

Hey Barry, if it's old school demo you can always opt for 1meg chip ram for the party version if need be. You could do a final after. Also if you need someone to trim up a module, let me know.

ram isn't the issue, I agreed to a second mod a while back when the disk wasn't even half full, but then I got busy these last couple of weeks and oops, the disk is full, wah!

I think I'm getting on top of it now, or at least I will be once all my planned changes are in place. However, it has cost me some days that should have been spent on effects, so I think it'll definitely be a party version as far as compatibility with A1200, etc, is concerned. Assuming I get the A500 friendly version finished in time I'll want to be partying at the party, not fixing AGA bugs and rewriting code for CPUs that hate my naughtiness :P

@dirtie:
I think we're through with the opener scene "fx". No need to scrub the title.
It's now pure content filling, data organisation.
You better send me a sweet photo of li'l Eddie because it begs for a proper welcoming onescreener.

I'm about 70% complete on my tracked music entry and I have to say it's my most ambitious protracker tune to date!. Carefully doubling up samples so that I have enough spare for when the audio from the scratch DJ arrives!!!

z5: unfortunately I'm not able to take the whole Revision week off this year, so this leaves me with very little time to finish my stuff :(

Less than a week to go!!!

Thanks to unexpected work and other interferences I've decided to cut a couple of effects from my demo. It's already got a bit more than my last one, but the cuts effect the pacing I had in mind so I'm feeling a bit down about it, meh! Never mind, I should now have some time to do some polishing and I suppose having those missing effects in the back of my mind means there will have to be another demo at some point, maybe even this decade :-P

BTW, is there a supermarket or something near the party where I can buy a crate of RedBull and other late night coding fuel? I've got a feeling I'll still be typing away at 11:59 on the Saturday.

Be sure to do your shopping on Saturday. It's a ghost town during Easter. There is a gas station pretty adjacent to the party.

There's a 'Rewe' supermarket about 150 metres from the partyplace.

My memory is a little fuzzy, but as far as I recall everything was closed Friday, Sunday and Monday. I guess the supermarket could be open, but I'd check the opening hours.

I'm really looking forward to the party and I wish I had something to compete with.

@Paradroid: if you're in Germany and need an energy drink that keeps you awake you better buy a couple of Club Mate because that's a real "eye opener" and additionally isn't stuffed with chemicals from hell like the rest of those gummibear sirup red-bull derivatives.
clubmate

The REWE across the parking lot is open on Saturday only, the rest of the weekend is "catholic lockdown" ;)

All right, let's do it the C=64 style: 75% demo done, 50% tiny weeny intro done.
I'm now entering seclusion like a monk until Thursday.

I was a bit worried that some would not manage to finish their demos on time but the latest progress reports are reassuring. I feel totally calm now... Yep, i do. Totally relaxed and calm.

Aaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Next year, no revision thread on Ada :) Too much stress involved.

All i can say about our production is that we have some code on all the parts;) Except that it is a complete unfinished and disjointed mess and only one full day left to spend on it. Wonder if there will be time when "lets start earlier so there will be no rush" will actualy work;)

Ok, i'm locking this thread now! I can't take it anymore! I don't even dare asking about dodke's demo at this point... Thank god Slummy seems to have everything under control.

:)

Still, great to hear that Elude is planning something aswell! I'm going to watch Shake off the dust right now <3

Well, I wouldn't exactly call it "under control".
Even though I haven't aimed all that high this time it turns out that things (as always) take longer than expected. Still a reasonable chance to get it into a releasable state though. :)
