Hi!

When i was drawing graphics for my intros, i always ended up drawing in either horizontal, vertical or 45 degree lines. Anything in between looked crap due to the low resolution

I guess anti-aliasing (or smoothing as it seems to be called in paint programs) would solve this issue so i was wondering: are there any tips for a good result? How do you setup colors and how many colors do you use on average for a good effect? And do you add smoothing manually or do you leave all this up to the paint program?

I understand that you expect some hints from coders. For my part I can only show you some pixel tricks done by hand. Anyway the dodke idea: http://ada.untergrund.net/forum/index.php?action=v thread&forum=2&topic=589 also seems to look quite nice.

I planned to make a quick tutorial for you, but the Jok's link probably be sufficiently helpful.

In case of problems, just send me the fragement of your logo at slay (zz) post (zz) pl, and I will send it back to you with some anti-alias done. You will see then the idea in practice, without unnecessary words :) Btw, does it mean that we will see sth new from ADA label?

Wow, this forum post is gold.
I already employed some of the techniques that were explained in there but I never knew their proper names -- never cared too much about tech-naming, even when it comes to FX -- and there are so much more healthy advises to put in practice in future logos :)

Thanks Jok for the link
