In case anyone have missed it, the registration for DATASTORM 2011 opened yesterday. It's almost full already but there are a few spots left to fill... EDIT: the C64-Amiga ratio actually seems pretty even :)

Datastorm is a party I would like to visit sometime. Only problem is that I simply don't currently know, if I would be able to attend....but I also guess that the 20 vacant seats are taken already :-)

Corial: If you find out in the last moment that you will be able to come, I'm sure they'll have a spare seat for an active Amiga coder. We are sort of an endangered species, right? ;)

I will have to check the site occasionally to see if people drop out - I don't think I'm elite enough to earn myself a seat in front of somebody already registered - even though... WE ARE AN ENDANGERED SPECIES :-).

Results. Looking forward to seeing the releases. Very curious to see the winning Spaceballs demo. Also Ephidrena and a new Ozone intro (the cracktro drareg was talking about, i presume) and some others.

The demo was veeery rushed in the end, but I'll get a final out within 7 days. And the party was *wonderful*, probably even better than last years event!

The OCS AHX music disk (which won the introcompo) is now available at http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=56646
The code & visuals are pretty basic, but it has some *very* neat tunes.

Ill try to get the eph/rno/kvg demo out as soon as possible. One bug which cuts the hipposcope effect in half deserves some attention before release. The party was great! Only next year I'll try to get some more sleep. It was hard to stay awake during the compos because of too much partycoding without sleep.

I just saw the youtube video and the demo is really fine. I happen to like "black background and effects" so clearly this demo appeals to me. Compliments on making not-so-traditional effects and welcome back as an active coder on the Amiga :-). I think this is your best demo so far, very clean and stylish.

Thanks for the kind words. :) My aim was to implement (and *release*) some of the ideas I've had for effects in the last 3-4 years, so I'm happy that people appreciate it for being an effect-show.

And here is the ephidrena, kvasigen and rno demo too :

It worked on my amiga today so maybe it just needed some time to think about it.

Now THAT was some serious message from up north :D

The Spaceballs demo ran nice all the way.

On SWMtDFO I needed to have a clean boot first.
On the PAL display everything went great, but when I ran it on the gfx-card output,
all the scenes that featured the analyzer effect, the voxelklump and the video stuff
had totally askew colour palettes (very psychedelic, though).

My system runs a Mediator PCI with Voodoo IV with Picasso96 as the driver

Spaceballs demo was awesome. That cloud scene in the beginning is a thing of pure beauty.

Ephidrena's demo is slick and damn sexy looking.

Great work!
