If you are wondering why there haven't been any updates to A.D.A lately, it's rather simple: i'm having troubles with my internet connection, which is supposed to be cable but which is now reaching speeds closer to the good old analog modem :( Which means i can't upload anything...

Well, updates are again very slow... or kind of non-existent. However, A.D.A isn't dead (yet? :)).

The reason for lack of updates is actually rather simple: i moved and don't have pc/internet anymore at home. Somehow, i don't think i could use my A1200/060 for this :)

However, this should change soon. Got my new pc ordered so i'll have things up and running again hopefully in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, with the amiga scene being so lazy these days, there aren't much new demos to add. (still a lot of older ones though)...

There... so now you know :)

Not quite. At Assembly 2006 TBL blew some heads off with their stunning production. I can't wait to see it on A.D.A.

I admit... we've been lazy. Summer and other things have gotten in the way. That happens sometimes :)

In any case, i'll try to add some newly released prods soon.

In the meantime, updates are sort of appearing again. 6 in 2 weeks is more than we achieved in months... so hopefully this will become a regular trend or something like that anyway :o)

And we are 2 away from 600, which is kind of nice.

When can we expect some updates of ADA?

would be very nice with user submissions of productions to make it a bit more like CSDB.. while the forum on ADA is nice, the actual archive feels quite static...

I agree with this - ADA is definitely the closest Amiga equivalent to CSDb but I think it would be really nice for it to become even more like that site.

@yoki,mailman,pmc:

short version: i honestly don't know when there will be updates.

long version: after the website got hacked and injected with a virus, i didn't feel like continuing with the site. Luckily, Todi took over and recoded the website. He is now responsible for the website "backbone" (= everything that is not content).

The idea was to develop proper administration tools for easier moderation/changing/adding content. These tools aren't ready yet (todi being busy with other things like real life) so at this point, it isn't that straightforward to add content to the site. Not that i want to blame someone else for the lack of updates though. If i had been really motivated, there would have been other ways to add content, without the admin tools.

Anyway, the idea of the administration tools was to involve more people in managing site content. Because, at this point, i'm ready to give the site to the amiga community. But for that to happen, we definately need some sort of admin interface.

I'm open for ideas. And if people are motivated and care about it, then feel free to open a thread here in the forum with ideas on how you want to see the site evolve and be involved in it.

I'm still a bit rusty but it appears there's a new demo added to the website... Let me know if you see something suspicious or not working :)

During the one year break, the website probably lost every voter and commenter there ever was but anyway :)

More to come in the next couple of days, it seems.
