Had a huge nostalgia rush today, and just had to start searching my favorite demos and intros for Amy.

Problem is I can't remember most of by name or by group (well, it's been 8-9 years since I last watched them regularly), so it's kinda hard. I can remember classics just fine, or at least find them by group, coder, or musician, but most are still to be found..

Anyway, this one prod started bugging me, since it was one of the intros I watched most ~10 years ago, and I really would like to see it again (especially since I know it'll be bugging me for a long time if I don't see it).

But there's not much to go around with... I can't remember the name of the intro. I can't remember the group, not to mention the coder or musician. I'm not totally sure about the size or release year. Or the chipset.

But I DO remember there being a couple of smooth skin colored metaballs, a junglish soundtrack and couple of purple "laserbeams". And a picture-in-picture effect at one point, if I'm not mistaken...

It was released almost definitely pre '99, maybe '97 or '98, I'm pretty sure it was AGA and it was DEFINITELY an intro (40kish).

So, any help would be nice.

hm.
I think I finally got it.
Cosmic theories by Smoke.
came 1st in Icing '97. Not too sure, since I haven't even seen a screenshot yet.

Now... Does anyone know where the hell could I find it?
Pouet, ADA, and scene.org don't have it, and couldn't find much by googling it.

@kaichu: try to search in the scene archives (http://www.scene.org/dir.php?dir=/mirrors/the_sce ne_archives/). There's a couple of guide files which list the stuff available. Failing that, try the english amiga board (there is a forum for requests).

YES! Peace of mind at last!
cheers, I wasn't aware of the archive.

Such a shame that there didn't seem to be a convenient way to download a full volume at one time, you have to download them disk by disk. Although I could be wrong, I didn't pay that much attention.

Even more of a shame is that most of them are packed with DMS, and I don't think Windows has an unpacker for those.

u can in rough terms compare dms abit with an iso, so u dont need to unpack it, u just undms it to a floppy disk on your amiga and viola, u got yourself a trackmo again (if it was a trackmo offcoz :)) if u want to watch it on an emulator just stuff the dms file into your virtual df0: in your emulator m8.........did i make any sense at all :D

Yeah, I found it. Finally. And it still has the same soothing effect it had all those years ago. Don't know why, but I just love those metaballs in it. <3

And yes, I thought that all I needed to do was to load the DMS with WinUAE, but it didn't work. The disk image wasn't bootable, but this could ofc be only a one time case. Anyway, I got around by unDMSing it in Ubuntu.

But hey, thanks for the help.
