I usedto code, manage(make lots of phonecalls to people anyway) a group called Quartz.

I would love to get in touch with a few of you guys again, jeez, I wasonly acollege kid then, now I'm gettting grey hairs.

I am still a code freak and mix it in with being a geek. Know the first issue season 5/6/7 Sky cards and the various D2-Mac cards, PS2 mods? Well, there you are!

Hitting a comeback with that piece of shit called the 360 but I'm not sure whether to bother as seems u need to be quick of the mark. Not too manypeople wanna mess with the £290 box their daddy got them fo Xmas! Need some decent project to work on;).

OK, greets go out to all the Quartz guys,Mutant Mango, the first good piss up I had(and his mate down the road, Snare!), Hylide'can't come'(still remmember THAT!)!,Xanadu, all the Salisbury peeps. Of course Jaz, Ranx who spent ages trying to explain how to code properly but I never got it. Now, of course to Streamline(I wonder what your doing, would LOVE to hear from you, hope the kids and wife are good, we had agreatlaughwhen I cameupto the middle of the country!) Spook/Digital(ex. Magnetic Fields), who nicely poached Streamline but spent his time explaining how to do lightening fast line draws,z clipping and lots of cool stuff(last time, a long time ago I heard worked for a large gaming company).

Who else? Pazza from LSD, hope you are still chilled, No.5/Digital hope you r ok, Kial from flashing bytes. How could I forget, Chopper'Mark' who got me into coding thus changing my life forever as nobody wanted to do it'at the time'. Fai, ex.Flashing Bytes, hope you are ok, Mat,our first coolsysop as well as our other sysop.

Alex, one of ourmost loyal coders, hope you did well at uni.!...... I stell remember you exact address for some reason?:weird:

Of course, Harlow Pete, Dan and his brother Paul, not that they any were into the scene but liked errr. 'Hot Warez'

Met Fisher nevertook an intrest, but I have notmet foryears and certainly knows some of the others here.

Sorry,I know I've forgotton LOADS of theres but alot of stuff has gone on in the past 12 years.

We need to sort out some kind of UK reunion. I doubt though it could ever hit the Quartz Summer conference of 1992.

Sorry about the shitty typing, this keyboard is sticking. Honestly, I am not drunk!

Anyone that knew me, knows me want to get in touch, hit me on jbryant2426@aol.com

Hi, there has been a bit of a revival of the uk scene the last couple of years. There are regular pubmeetings and last year the first demoparty for quite a few years was held. This year Sundown demoparty is held on the 6-8/10 in Buddleigh Salterton, pretty much everyone active on the UK scene will be there, so you should definetly try to make it. The #ukscene channel on ircnet is very active and there is also a forum on www.ukdemoscene.org.

Hope some of your mates are still active, otherwise just make it to Sundown and make some new friends.

MajicM, it sure is, and there is even t-shirts now =) http://www.slengpung.com/?id=13682&eventid=393 ukscene allstars.

You should really try and make it to Sundown, over 50 people have signed up so far. Would be cool if you got in contact with some of the old-gang and drag them along as well.

If you are living up north there is a pub-meeting in Liverpool next weekend.

Hey guys, Matt here, AKA Mutant Mango although I stopped calling myself that a looong time ago. I tried emailig you Simon but it bounced back. If anyone wants to get in touch you can email me at matthewb[this_bit_here_in_an_attempt_to_foil_spam] @nildram.co.uk - but without the bracket bit, obviously.

You can also find my (rather out of date at the moment) webpage here :

Would be good to hear what everyone is upto these days. Myself I still do the GFX!, although as a paid graphic designer these days. I would love to get paid for making music but that has only happened a couple of times for one-offsa. I live in Brighton and I'm getting married in a few months - and, er, that's about it.

I see Snare when I'm back in Ipswich maybe once every couple of years, I think he trains people to use applications at a large company, Last I heard he was also a drummer in a local band.

Fuck me...how's it going you lot?

I'm living in Budapest at the moment but I'll be back in London in the Spring; it would be great to meet up for a beer or two if anyone's around.

Quick history from 1992. Finished degree in Physics at Manchester, rather hindered by too much speed and acid, got a job designing electronics at a fruit machine company. Then in 1996 I realised I'd become a basket-case gabba techno ketamine freak so I quit Manchester to go and work for a company who made 3D graphics chips in London. Right now I work for an investment bank writing java code...a long way from hand-crafted 68000, but it pays well so in a couple of years I should be able to retire from IT and become a full-time criminal/political activist/terrorist/piss-artist (delete as appropriate).
