Hello!

I am about to finish my tutorial on clearing interrupt request.
In the end it became an interesting (I think) research on the internal working of 040/060 togehter with Amiga hardware.
To refine my conclusion I would like to have some more test performed.
So please, if you have a 060/040 Amiga, download the following small archive (3K) and perform the test. They will only take you few minutes.
Instructions are in the archive.

thanks to all who will be so kind to help me!

Maybe you want to publish a tutorial in Jurassic Pack? If yes, please mail me at sobi@diskmag.de - would be cool for our coders corner!

@Ghandy

only if my tutorial is interesting enough for your great mag...
let's see. Unfortunately, first reports I am getting from beta-testers show that one technique I discovered that works on my A3640 does not work on Blizzard PPC with 040...so it's not so interesting.

thanks for the offer! :-)

I took a look at the tests. I'm guessing you want the output of all the tests back? Problem is, you can't use ">" to save it, and to copy-paste a whole set of tests is not that wonderful :) What do you need back?

@pezac

">" does not work? never noticed... however, if you use a shell to run all test then with just one copy-paste you may produce a text file and send it to me.

I meant the ">" to redirect the output to a file.

Yes, but it gets a bit tedious to copy-paste as I wrote above. You have X tests and Y number of different inputs to each test.

It's just a tip however, maybe more people would do the tests if it was just a matter of run 2 exe's and send you some output files.

I sound like a grumpy grandpa or something, this is not the case, just a tip :)

Yes, the ">" for redirecting the output...I thought it worked...
I am surprised.

Maybe the reason I used a different print function (from v37+ dos.library).

Even though there are X tests and Y inputs, the output shoud enter in 2 or at most 3 screen dump => so 3 copy&paste would suffice.

However maybe you are right. Meanwhile Karlos (a coder on Amiga.org) provided me scripts to do what you suggests. Anyway for the moment I have already some interesting tests

I think all shell/text output would be saved. Could it be that the exe's are closing the system etc?

Anyway, good luck! I tried to do the tests at Malmis/Nature so I'll have to wait for another opportunity :)

And don't hesitate to post a new test if you make one!
