Since no replacement for Breakpoint has found its place (yet?), it seems that the only alternative is the gamerparadise: The Gathering. For a long time, there has only been pc-compos at that party, which would not make me want to go/participate.
So I'm guessing that next Easter I'll be attending my family's traditional Easter lunch for the first time since the German party era started with Mekka/Symposium :-)

Don't give up your hopes yet, I've been hearing some rumours that we might be missing out on family dinners in 2011 as well =).

Well, Bonkers, now you have to elaborate :) What's the rumour ? I wanna hear some gossip

I sure do hope there will be a scener only party in germany again next year. They have been somewhat crucial in the existence of the amiga scene for a long time. The major creative outburst from that scene happens at easter. The prospect of no easter party in germany is somewhat scary since i'd love to see new amiga demos from each and every amiga group from now until i die!
Also, the easter scene focus moving more to bigger parties like TG (e.g. the scene.org event) scares me aswell. The pc demo scene might survive a more gamer focused party but i'm not so sure for the more oldskool platforms (which are then all thrown together into a general "alternative plaftorm" sort of compo).

I have no clue about a BP replacement yet, but if some partyorga feels he needs an entry-friendly Amiga compo orga acompanied with a properly setup compo machine, you know who to call for. ;)

Clearly you are the obvious choice, Charlie. You have done an excellent job organizing the Amiga compos at BP!!

Hm, so now we have 2 confirmed Easter parties in Norway next Easter? And as I read it, they are held at exactly the same time in the same city? Quite odd. Anyway, does anybody know if they are planning on have compos for the Amiga, or are we left out in the cold?
Any rumours regarding an Easter party somewhere else than Norway?

I suspect something's gonna be announced at TUM. But if that's not the case, well... let's organize a bbq somewhere! ;)

Well, it seems to be The Gathering with a 18 years+ side event called EasterGarden... How they're going to connect these two...? I have no idea :)

I think it is connected to TG only compowise. The compos are at tg and the party itself is in a separate venue.

well, I'm crossing my fingers for an announcement at TUM ... since Novel heard "rumors" through Ragnarok/VOZ.

I'll keep my fingers cross then, and hope that something Amiga friendly will take place. I don't really see the Norwegian Easter parties as options for me, as it is right now.

Norway is simply too expensive and too far away for most people, I want to go somewhere warmish for an Easter party, still think there is going to be something organised in Europe proper. Remember that BP usually never advertised the party this side of Christmas.

From Canada, Norway or Germany it`s pratically the same for me:( We are waiting a real amiga compo with real hardware and not winuae where all demo run at full framerate and when you watch the demo on a real amiga it`s just a slideshow. The breakpoint was the perfect party for amiga scener

Going by what has been said so far (on pouet) by various people, there is almost certain going to be a party in germany. Just needs to be officially confirmed, it seems.

Corial: I've only gone from Frankfurt Hahn airport to Saarbrücken, and there was direct minivan from airport. Later on have used my personal driver from there :P But to your question, lurkin http://www.db.de gives me information that there is at least fast ICE train commuting.

Your personal driver? What line of business are you in?

z5_: Hehe, not in that kind of business.
When visited Breakpoint 06, my good friend Premium (who happened to live in Saarbrücken by that time),picked me up from airport, so being my personal driver :) After that trip, to save lot of time he has picked me up from airport. I usually bribe him with Salmiakki vodka for doing that.

2 hours are also fine with me. Sounds like the same amount of time I usually spent on the trainrides to Bingen.

And flying to Frankfurt is usually quite cheap from most places. Actually just booked a ticket for Feb now and it was 900:- return with Lufthansa.
