A guy tracked me down on MySpace in January and asked if I could play live at a local club called Supa. They arrange nights where local music makers can have a go at playing their stuff. So this invitation meant I would get to play noisy 4K music on just about the meatiest PA in the city.

I asked a friend if he wanted to join in with some of his stuff and we assembled a 30 min set with some 4k, some hiqual music and videos of ephidrena 4ks and demos.

The show was great fun! :) We got to play for 45 minutes so we got in most of the stuff we had extra. The bass almost tore down the walls :)

Cool set. Must have been exciting (and stressful) to get your music played out of the usual demoscene environment. Must have sounded awesome on professional gear too. I'll download the vid later today.

The video is just a bunch of ephidrena demos looping.. Finnmark, Alice Copper, Gin and Tronic, Anyone of these suckers and Psylteflesk IIRC.
So nothing superexciting.

We were rather safe as half the ARM office was visiting the gig. They have the right background for enjoying small filesize as a musical quality :)

Is it me or did you add an extra layer of bass to the Finnmark tune for the special occasion?

@z5 : yes.. we feared that Finnmark would be too gritty on the big speakers so I went in and toned down the noise and distortion and then we put some hitech fx on it afterwards.

I don't think the digital clipping/distortion would have been a problem though. We played Mongoloid Android and that sounded fine. (We didn't really intend to play it, but then we were drunk and they let us continue so we put it on anyway :) )

None of the other tunes have had a makeover. Except that they were normalized.

Would be ace if this got released more properly, I have been listening to the live session quite a few times and I really like it. Actually made a mixed tape for a couple of mates with one of your tunes on and they really liked it, got quite surprised when I told them about the origin of the song.

Thats cool. I'd like to get to know about musicians who make sort of gritty 8-bittish music with heavy drums really. But not 100% crazy either.
