I recently found out that Jori Hulkkonen (on F-com) is said to have sampled on the miggy for his tune "Don't git uptight." Or hmm, maybe it in fact goes for the whole EP (Disconnects You From The World Of Copyrights). It was out in 1996 nevertheless, and under the alias Jii Hoo.
An artist who started his music making with the Amiga is the british Aim. If he had an Amiga hooked up when making "Cold Water Music," "Hinterland" or any of his other stuff, I don't know.
Anyway, post your knowledge of "Amiga-artists" in the real world music biz here!

"From it's launch in 1987, marketed as a games machine, the A500 was an amazing success for Commodore, which revived the ailing sales of its hardware. Like all the home-level machines, it was equipped with a 7.14MHz Motorola 68000 processor, and the 'custom chipset' which made it famous for its capabilities.
At the time, it was the only domestically-priced machine capable of displaying up to 4,096 colours on a display simultaneously, and was also capable of managing a 8-bit 4-track audio output at 22KHz. By today's standards, quite inferior (being half the quality and half the clarity of modern CDs) but several bands launched into marginal success with an Amiga or two.
Of these, there are the Chemical Brothers, Nation XII, Urban Shakedown, and a Belgian band named Front 242. The Chemical Brothers are still famous today, though the rest have disappeared into relative obscurity. Nation XII were the most famous at the time, producing the music for the hit game Gods, a song titled 'Into The Wonderful', all produced using an Amiga and its amazing chipset, far beyond anything else at the time."
Personally I wouldnt call Urban Shakedown obscure....Ive listened to them for years..but then again..that might be coz im a Amiga user....

Hehe... I think I've still got a cassette single of an Urban Shakedown track that was written on an Amiga!
I remember reading about it in Amiga Format magazine (UK). If I remember correctly, it was written using Med on 2 A500s so they could acheive 8-track audio.
Wow...them were the dayz, eh?

When he was on Going Live (early 90's UK show) he said he was the one and the same. Unless you know him personally, I believe they are the same. I haven't heard anything from Moby since then... unless there's another Moby about??

I have definately lived an artists life, most of my life. And so is "real". And as an advanced computer user, ofcourse use bbs/forum/chat technologies often.
This year I finished up my mastering-process, and also released "Bitworx", a release, with productions related to my time as "B.i.T" on MP3.com and in the Amiga-scene. With 4 reworked amiga-modules. If you ever wanted to hear synth-leads as on the Amiga, with full production, check out "Shakes Intro" for instance. Of obscure tech-interest, I was also one of the first to do the typical synth-sound on the amiga, with "wavetable", aka switching samples in the tracker, so it sounded more advanced. Did you think it was 4-mat? noooooooooo. :))))
Or the classic amiga-hit "Style Blend", with full DSP retrofit. + some others, and also productions later, most on MP3.com as "B.i.T", which were one of the leading artists there locally.

Sven Vath used the music from Flimbos Quest in a release he did in the 90's - with no credit - bad Sven, Naughty Sven. Oh unless he originally made the music on Flimbos - in which case all is forgiven. Oh an I release house music on Omid 16b's label Alola Records
