Good Demo in traditional MaWi-Style. See ya bp06!

Classic MAWI style, good and fast paced. The one thing that anoys me is the size of the overlay graphics. The cover to much space so it's hard to actually see the effects. That gives a flat apperance to the demo. Even so, they know what they are doing and constantly deliver good demos.

Kiero is making sure noone can use glow ever again :) My Pegasos II ran the demo and as it was done it gave me the satisfied look by blinking with all its little lights The colourmismatched cd-drive opened and closed again as if it tried to say :"I want more!"

Someone tried this demo on PowerUP? Seems not to work here.

comment by ^DaNi^ on 15 April 2005

i can`t view this demo, i have warpos installed but don`t work with the powerup emulation? :(

comment by kiero on 15 April 2005

it works on powerup. tested. tell me what error you have or enter "patience mode" and wait for warpos version. if you have blizzardppc then get the video:) you will enjoy it much more:)

A link to the final version archive and a high quality video have been added (see download).

i like the mawi style but i would also like to see if they would do something new... i know there was glow ;D but how about trying some other colours next time?!?

comment by DJBase on 18 April 2005

Well, I got it now working and it runs not that bad on my BPPC-240/060. Only thing I hate is that -double option that makes the demo look like crap on my TFT. :P

Mawi does really nice productions but I would like to see some story in the whole thing. Not just the effects...

comment by KAM_ on 23 April 2005

Hm... I don't really like this one... Isn't it a step backwards? The demo seem to be done in a big hurry. I hope, that Mawi will reach 'fate fits karma' level with their next production.

An awesome soundtrack and very good 2d pixelart! Yet I feel that something is missing in this demo to actually make it really great.

comment by z5 on 14 March 2006

This demo from Madwizards features a great soundtrack and really nice graphics (to be honest, i can't remember a Madwizards demo without good graphics though)... very nice color choice aswell. Awesome work from our Polish gfx-wizards. The demo does feature some nice effects but i tend to agree with Bonkers: in some scenes, the overlay graphics hide the effects a bit too much (for example screenshot 3).

All in all, another fine quality production from Madwizards which lacks "that bit more or different" to be a classic.

I've never been a huge fan of demos in the late nineties style, but this one rocks. Excellent code and artwork. I even enjoyed the soundtrack! An underrated MaWi production.

Just watched it on youtube - really cool! But I instantly recognized the track from one of my Aural Planet albums. Was Raiden a member of Aural Planet?
