The previous Breakpoint/Revision threads have always been fun to follow and read so here is the official Revision 2013 thread. The traditional easter demoscene party is being held on 29 march until april 1.

Let's hope for a lot of good (amiga) demos :)

Any hot rumors, traditional project planning notes and updates or tales of deadline stress and last minute panic attacks,... is welcome :)

Me, Deadguy and Bamse just booked our flight and hotel for Revision. No turning back now! Let's hope there'll be a shuttle waiting at the airport.

We're in the progress of completing the storyboard and setting the mood for the soundtrack.
I don't know if Dirtie will be able to attend this year but I think being about to become a father is waaay more exiting than a demoparty :D

We're going for demo this year, finally ;)
I have no clue if there will be enough time for an intro.

Nice, dodge! It's going to be interesting to see a Moods demo. Sort of shame that it won't be competing in the amiga demo compo but in the oldschool demo compo. I never really understood why ocs demos are separated from aga demos in the demo compo. Sure, different specs and power...

@slayer: not looking good, i presume? A shame but i hope the situation will turn around :)

also looking forward to more Booster demos! :) Should be good!

Corial. It will compete in ze most important competition, according to Okkie :D
We want to use the 8 bitplanes 'n stuff.

The thing about the oldschool compo, I think, is that for the recording an A500 ( or a Kick 1.3x OCS machine ) is used. But it surely doesn't hinder someone to enter an OCS demo to the main Amiga demo compo ... it's almost the artists choice in the case of an OCS demo.

Yeah, with any luck the party is relocated to my hometown and I don't have to buy a new car or rent one *teehee* ... rather unlikely

It's twenty years of absence for my code at a party, but some will be accompanying me to Germany this easter! :-)

@Paradroid: Welcome :)

So you're planning something Amiga-ish for Revision then ? :)

edit: damn, didn't realise you coded Rink a Dink? Comeback after 20 years would probably be a record.

Yeah, Rink a Dink was the last demo I made :-) I'm crazy busy with work atm so I'm not sure how much time I'll have to sink into it between now and then, but I've got a few finished routines already so there should at least be a demo of some description. It would be rude to turn up without a release, although it's highly likely I'll still be coding it during the flight over, lol :-P

edit:

Am I dreaming? Paradroid is making a new OCS demo? Wow, that's fantastic news.

Now, that's actually funny - on Sunday I've been commenting "Rink a Dink" on Pouet and wondering where are you up to these days. I still think the transitions between the effects in Rink are exceptional and keep watching this demo every now and then.

You should perhaps call Matt and make a proper Anarchy comeback? :)
Btw - still living in Ellesmere Port?

Z5, Corial - don't forget "Deja Vu". Not quite as good as Rink, but also worth attention.

It really needed those transitions as there weren't that many effects in it, hehe But nice that some people still remember it, thanks :-)

Btw - still living in Ellesmere Port?

I moved away from there long ago, within a month or two after making Deja Vu, to go and work at Core Design along with a bunch of other guys from Anarchy (and later Lemon.).

Anyway, this thread is supposed to be about Revision - is anyone else making amiga demos for it? Would be great to see something like Boogietown again.
