Hello there,

My name is Billy and I'm trying to piece together an article based on the demo scene of the Amiga for use in a book based on the Commodore system.

I am looking to chat with people who were part of the scene originally, as well as those who are keeping the tradition going to this day. I'm looking to make it as genuine and comprehensive as I can. Research and the internet can only do so much, so I want to get some genuine accounts about the good old days. The game cracks, the big demos, whether there was a one-up-man-ship with it all.

There are a few old farts hanging around here. Might be worth speaking to Blueberry or Britelite for starters, even though they might not be as old-school as you are seemingly looking for (obviously no offence to anyone intended :)

Codetapper might have something to say about cracking, plus he is from the other end of the world. And Digitale Kultur E.V. might be a good contact for all your information needs, as it is at the core of their mission to spread the word about the demoscene and they are super well connected within the scene (also to really early members like Irata, or groups like The Light Circle).

Turrican, have you read „Freax” book by Tamár Polgár?

@noname I will look into contacting those people you have mentioned, as I have nothing at the moment to go on other than the research I'm doing at the minute, so thank you for that.
