Hello!
Amiga Alpe Adria is a event dedicated to Amiga and creative use of computers in general. This year is at the 3rd edition and it will be centered on the demoscene. There will be also a democompo. Indeed this year the event is called Codex Alpe Adria.
It will be in july in Italy. For more info here is the webpage: http://0xaa.org/

Hehe, we'll meet there then... I'm from Udine! :D
I've been offline for the last 2 months, but I know Delilah is organizing something... shame on me, I had to help her,
but I've been very busy lately...

Question: do you think it's better to combine AmigaOne/Pegasos demos with the PC compo and leave the Classic Amiga alone or within a retrocompo or what?
Just investigating... we're organizing the compos, so some feedback is welcome! :)

i bet 2 cents that you wont get a single entry for A1/pegasos so it wont make a difference.
beside of this ... since when is a pegasos a amiga?
better call it "alternative platforms" or something similar
this would allow even those mac and linux snobs to submit a entry

@XeNusion
Hey, I'm just investigating, no need to be aggressive! ;)
Seriously, I don't know how many entries we'll have or if we won't get any at all, but honestly I cannot do a Pegasos-only democompo if I have 1 entry only because there's still someone complaining about Peggy being a real Amiga or not! To be honest, I don't even consider an AmigaOne to be a real Amiga, hence the draft to combine A1/Peggy with PC since they share same hardware and coding approach (gfx cards, API programming...)
Anyway, the alternative platform democompo would be a nice idea, so we can put all no-PC and no-Classic Amiga stuff under the same flag... I think we'll have a retrocompo too... dunno, still investigating...
p.s.
nice pix on yer site, indeed! :D We'll have a gfx compo, wanna contribute? ;)

i dont know her personally but if Delilah spends alot of time on organizing your party you should better go sure that she gets rewarded for her work by winning the gfx compo.
so it might be clever not to try to invite any "rivals" :)

What about writing an invitation for the Amiga demoscene diskmag
"Jurassic Pack" ? In that case please contact me at ghandy@diskmag.de

Ahah, xeNusion, I'd be very glad if you'd partecipate. I like rivals *winks*
I don't think I will compete in any gfx compo anyway, unless there are *really* few entries, and when I say few i do mean few ._.
You're welcome then :)
Ah by the way. thanks everyone for any advice. Codex compos are quite bitchy to organise, we got two hundred different platforms and it's the first time that it will turn into a party ever so it's like organizing and hoping someone will compete [since there are some other important parties around -_-] :)
*runs off*

Codex 2005 is over and it has been GREAT!!! We had real fun even if the event itself is growing up slowly, but we were all happy at the end (organizers, exhibitors, everybody)!
I've met lotsa cool guys (Hi Broderick! :) and I hope next year we'll see more and more Amiga sceners from all around Europe/world.
Hey z5, I wanna see you there, at Codex2006! ;)

Trying to find the party on Pouet resulted in the following strange output:
"party clones have been lobsterxiced! feel very afraid!
*clack clack clack* (\/) o O (\/) *clack clack clack*"
and a link to the release page.
i think you should fill that page even if the releases are crap. and please put some fotos online as well.

The release page link is valid, but Cloanto guys have still to update that page...
MCB (author of AmigaForever, PersonalPaint and C1-Text) has mailed me yesterday he's gonna put the gallery and the releases online ASAP.
The www.0xaa.org site is always valid when you need info about the event (check past years galleries for instance). Just wait a bit.
Patience pleeze, we're all buzy guys! :D

@z5
Hehe yeah, but I suppose Delilah looks better... ;)
The event was quite nice, small, friendly.
OK, maybe it's not been that "demo-ish", but it was just an experiment and if everything goes the right way we'll have a bigger place and more demoppl next year! :D
Nice thing is that it isn't the usual party, with loads of drunken teens, lame wannabes or lanparty gamers: here you can meet linux, mac, amiga ppl; Jens Schoenfled held a conference on C-1, Catweasel and other nice hw; Zeta (BeOS successor) was presented too, as well as latest improvements on OS4 and MorphOS. Small event, but a little jem full of interesting guys (just like that coder who's gonna do a GameCube emulator on OSX). Hope Codex2006 will be a successful event as well.
So guys, try not to be that busy for the first week of July 2006, I wanna see ya all here! :D
I must thank mcb (Cloanto CEO and the man behind AmigaForever, PPaint and other glorious Amiga apps) for giving us room for our very own "demo-experiment". Thanx man! :D
