From the good old Times i remebered that in Oddysey -Alcatraz demo the coder was proud to use very fast 2 raster lines playing routine. I have also come across Noisepacker at some point but did not understand what its for. To explore this mystery recently I have found this page: http://www.amiga-stuff.com/modpackers-download.html
There I could find many informations regarding what they do and how fast they are, but there is something not right, Oddysey used 2 raster lines routines while those super fast routines uses 6-8 lines. Yes I know it is much faster than original PROTRACKER routine which uses nearly 80 raster lines, but still Wonder what causes those differencies. I suspect it is caused by some protracker commands which require more CPU power to execute, so if I am right does anyone can tell me what should be avoided in protracker commands to create the fastest playing routine? Maybe its already created?
