I working on full-system frendly e-mag, base on Warp3d and 68k CPU. I hope it will be first hires amiga e-mag (640x480x16b). But i do not have any music/graph for it, and i do not want working on this zine only by myself.

Some time ago i watched JP13, and it's bad, but articles only is good (some time). Shell is ugly (remember Generation or ROM?). So, i am start to coding Warp3d shell.

If anyone want to help, plz reply on this post and we start to work.

ps. sorry for poor english :)

ok, thanks. but anyway, ~1-2 year for e-mag (last jp) it is too long time :)

Why is the magEngine of JP so bad please? It works stable, supports gfx cards and allows many things which were not implemented f.e. in Generation.

I'm sorry, I've been really busy. I will reply your email soon mate! First of all I will forward your email to StingRay. Maybe you two can work together in the future...

One and a half year as a delay is of course MUCH TOO LONG! But otherwise it's sometimes not so easy to motivate yourself if there's no competition anymore.

Having a quick view on the diskmags. What do we have? JP with such a huge delay. Eurochart. And their delays aren't shorter than mine. ;-)
We have Cows'n Snakefights which is rather small. We have an extremely small chartsmag called Versus and last but not least Saxonia. But its existence isn't as far as I know not saved as Rumrunner is at the army.

And the fact that both, Gone and Zito doesn't write articles anymore isn't that much motivating for me either.

But nevertheless, I'll soon start preparing a new edition. Probably after BP05. This party was always a big motivation factor for me.

it is not 'so bad' of course. but cgx support 256 colors only. screen resolution <640x480 -> ugly font, low screen mhz, etc. engine can't good fade in/out. in other words, all minuses of low resolution mag. Of course, for nostalgic thinks is very good, but .. we can do it more powerful zine for amiga ;), just will need support voodoo3 directly for example (textures/alpha/triangles). And do it more interesting shell (as example pc hugi/pain maybe, but more powerful). Maybe do it for ppc .. but for good zine warp3d only must be enought.

I've been phoning quite a long time with StingRay last night and he's curious hearing your ideas/suggestions. I've started to work on JP#14 last night aswell and I've send some emails out to graphicians & musicians. I'm sure it wont take long and I have EXCEPT ARTICLES everything I need.

Diskmags don't really have to be 3d and flashy. Moving objects especially will make your eyes move away from the text. Maybe some 24bit support for pictures would be of value though. Make an intro instead.. Then you dont need graphicians because you'll just generate all of the content anyway :)

Where you looked good emag without graphics ?;) What about start/end pict, panels, some logos, buttons, handdrawing fonts (topaz is suxx),etc? For little intro, yes, some time do not need pixel graph, but with it, intro will like more nice i think.

ps. and looking at last eurochar, here is big flat shade 'gears' for background, it look very nice.

youve got a point about needing some graphics, but I dont think 3d is necessary. It will only limit the mag to a few users.

do you mean warp3d limited mag to a few users, or 3d itself ? i want to using warp3d for fast (hardware) 32bit data. (easy case for alpha fade/work with sprites/etc). ofcourse putting all mag of a 3d objects it's bad idea. What about limitation by warp3d, yes. It will be. But here is 2 ways: ugly mag, but for all users, or nice mag , but for gfx users :)
