Well, one is sure, after this Breakpoint Stingray surely cancels his "it's very easy to deal with Charlie as organizer" statement he made earlier... *evil grin*

That was some nice demos. Nature and RNO are my personal favourites! This has been a nice party regarding the Amiga releases imo.

@klipper: it was dodke.

Nice to see Yomat back doing code for Nature. Where was TBL though? And sp with his A500 demo? Judging by Charlie's comments, it didn't pass the 68060 test?

Wow, very cool compo!

Tulou's entry was freakin awesome!

There was no A500-only demo. All demo/intro entries ran fine on the 060 tho'. Had to turn off the B1260 by button "2" on boot for a few oldschool exec music entries, but that's all. There was zero disqualifications regarding Amiga releases, since everyone who had problems with their release (hi Drifters, hi Tulou:) managed to fix it in time.

@z5_ : back home in one piece ... credits are as follows:
I did the (l4me) main code and the gfx/design, basic structure of the tune by Elapse (finished by me, check out his new album Googol at our place :).
The wireframe object and the stuff that comes with it was done by Doc.K

regarding the refusal of the 1st prize by the Drifters, they indeed celebrated their 20th anniversary and had a lot of friends around at the party place (hence the bulk of [smpathy-]votes), thus they yielded to the crew that deserved to win. A very honorable move.

oh and I forgot, the background in the "main" part is a movie-still of Stalker by the late great Andreij Tarkovsky !!1! A must see.

Hi folks, I'm new to ADA (maybe see Coding section where I briefly intro'd myself) :>

I witnessed Breakpoint through the live video stream, which worked well most of the time. Lots of fun...

Congrats Loaderror - just awesome!

Aside from the high-end elUde demo my favorite was Surfing Great Victoria by Nature+Traktor ("I'm a professional, goddammit") hehe. I enjoyed where N+T viewed the scene through the heart-shaped opening in the toilet door <3 Also the crazy cactus tunnel.
Drifters are very honorable indeed and their 20th anniversary brings warm feelings to my heart (as Master Yoda would say).

I hope to see some A500 productions in the future (sp!), I'm also working on my own A500 intro. OCS is on the move! oOOoOoOoOOo

I consider Drifters as plain fools - if they don't want to win the compo, then don't compete dammit. They got the most votes and thus they won the compo.

@rload .. Yes I am talking about Natami the new project wich is to bring the classic Amiga "uptodate" and with backwardscompability..

I have overclocked my 060 to 80mhz and it works great.. But natami is a different project.. (Actually i didnt do it myself, i got help from a great anonymous amiga-hardware specialist called "Micromax")

What a joke !

Drifters's demo is funny but it would never have the first place.
Other demos have certainly require much more work and quality is here !
Well, it's not Drifters need to blame but rather the voters.

anyway Congrats for the high quality demos this year !

Thank you !

In retrospect, i have a good positive feeling about the amiga demoscene. A good demo compo and keeping in mind that several projects didn't make it to Breakpoint but which are absolutely worth waiting for: Blueberry's new 4k, Sp and Ultra both doing an A500 demo and Jamie working on a new demo. Some groups will hopefully return (tbl, scarab, IRIS,...). And there seems to be enthusiasm amongst some new people to start coding some stuff.

Remember that good relases from breakpoint inspire other coders to make something. The Amiga scene is not dead!
