Hello! Just thought I'd share something I've been working on for a while. It's basically an Impulse/Schism Tracker clone but aimed at composing Amiga ProTracker mods. Portable freeware for Windows (XP and newer). Playroutine is based on 8bitbubsy's super accurate routine. Please let me know if you have any complaints or feature requests!

PoroTracker website

(Might end up renaming it to something more clever like Propulse or Impro Tracker)

Hi!

I'm no musician so I can't really comment on the tracker itself other than it looks nice from the screenshots! :)

What I wanted to ask you though is if the resulting modules "standard" 4-channel modules have good compatibility when being replayed on real hw?

Because I ran into the issue that the musician was making a MOD in some windows tracker, but then when I replay it using P61 in my code on Amiga it doesn't sound quite right, so it seems like the tracker he used didn't produce a "proper" compatible mod-file.

Perhaps I should recommend your tracker?

Hello! Sorry for the late reply.

PoroTracker (or Propulse Tracker as it's now known as) should save completely standard ProTracker 2 modules. (BTW, it's now crossplatform so Linux and MacOS are supported too!)

The P61 replay routine has some problems (especially with crunched samples) so the tracker itself may not be at fault there. I know I've spent hours trying to get certain mods to play correctly in it.

Cheers,

Mod was great fun in the day. I remember thinking doing a couple of amigas, hooked up to analog filters, and some effects, would actually be quite good. That is probably a good idea for a retro tracker... Poro Poro Netisland tracker. :o)
