What's going on in the bulging logos? Such as in 80 ways. Is this achieved by modifying the scroll register?

No, with blitter. All those are basically chaos zoomers but without the recursion (feedback).

My favourite from the Datastorm compo (puzzled why this came 5th...). I like the visuals, style, music and effects. I also like the screen wipe effect (e.g. screen 2). My favourite part is the 80 ways scene. That effect looked great and so did the picture.
