Wow! A well deserved winner in this compo! Great production which could be watched again, again and again. There are moments like greetings part that would never end.

For some reason, when watching this intro, i keep thinking that with a couple of different choices, this could have been on the same level or close to 2cb.
Lots of things to love: almost all effects are nice: wireframe and line effects always work for me (and i agree, love the greetings part), the balls (excuse the lack of a better technical description) look great (somewhat similar to what Tulou did), font looks nice and there are some little design touches (the moving lines in screen 4-5 for example). Also, there is a lot of content for a 64k.
However, from a visual point of view, it's a mixed bag and some effects/colors look rather out of place. Also, the music didn't do much for me. I thought there was little variation for such a long track.
A nice intro which could have been close to classic material if somebody had taken the lead and made the whole package look a bit more consisting than it does now. However, the effects are definately my cup of tea.

In short: tons of potential not fully realised mostly due to some odd color choices.

Nice 64k, great effects here, just colors should be better.

Believe me,I tried getting somebody to adjust the design+colours, but nobody really responded(well,Optima gave me some ideas),so I had to leave the intro with my colourchoice.A pity, because the intro was finished 5 days before the party.
The balls are indeed inspired by Tulou's effect.I have watched their demo a dozen times, and all of a sudden it became clear to me how it could be made. And after that I decided to base an intro on that concept.Nice to present something, which has not been made a million times before. The same goes for the "Powerline" rotators and the cleverly made quadruple waving flags - only Smoke has made that effect before, and with some smart thinking by Optima,it was possible to have 2 large textures.....or at least they appear to be large ;-).The funny thing is that a few people have said to me that the credits part is nice.I absolutely hate it,and I have been close to deleting that crappy object so many times.Guess it was a good decision to leave it in the intro.
Btw,Kollaps is responsible for the basecode for the Powerline rotators (and the blue rotator too,its the same base code),Optima did the basecode for the Wu linedrawing routine, but all lineeffects are made by me.Optima also did the metablobs and the feedbackrotator. The rest of the code is made by me.
All in all,I am very satisfied with the intro. It almost killed me in the end, because I cannot devote that much time to coding due to working and family lifes.

Argh,Optima also did the quadruple waving flags, sorry!

Stupid fucking shit.It should say the "greetings part", not credits part.Bear with me, guys.

This thing has got so much content effect-wise, one could easily make two of them. If only they would be accompanied with a matching overlay/design pattern.
But we've had this talk right after the compo and I was very flattered that you came over for a "thorough analysis" over a shot of Vodka :D of the competition ... Skċċċl !

You put quite a lot of stuff in this 64k intro. Really nice "transparent balls" and that "wireframe grid" effect. The weakest side is the music (really, I can't hear this song) and ugly "coders" colors/design.

slayer, sorry that the tune ruins it for you - i agree that it's a but.. different, but hey, it's all about having fun while being creative :D
