Here I go again with my ephidrena-related troubleshooting question: this time the demo starts-up in Productivity mode only and refuses to tun on pal screens even on a clean boot+setpatch only. Any suggestions?

@skan, I have no clue.. this demo uses exactly the same startup as the previous one.. Does it start or does it just exit to dos again? Do you have PPC or something? This demo didnt work on the compomachine except when we ran cleanboot + setpatch.. Have you tried running oxypatcher? ;) Not that it has anything to do with recognizing screenmodes and such.. Did FELS work correctly from cleanboot?

FELS, Sfumato, Sumo.lha ;) and others run perfectly on PAL screen (320x256x15khz) on a clean boot+setpatch v43.7. If started from a complete WB startupseq+userstartup, they pop-up in Euro72:Productivity (my default screenmode with my CBM1942 monitor). Respirator runs in Productivity mode from the complete environment, but refuses to appear on PAL screen, even if I change my screenmode prefs in WB and even from a clean boot. It just steals a little bit of chipram and about 4/5 megs of fast, nothing happens and sometimes the memory is given back! :)
My machine is a 1200 with Blizzard1260 and scsikit+48megs. Nothing more. And sometimes I run MuReDox!!! ;) (even if it garbles sounds on Nature's intros!!!)

A really cool demo anyway: high density, dark'n'heavy atmosphere and great scenes... innovative fx applied to 3d objects and nice reflections...
a little bit short though ;)

@skan.
One of these days Im going to include some error messages in the startup so that people can see what fails atleast... Im starting to become curious myself.

really good work but worse than few other ephidrena releases. i think you don't have enought time to finish this prod on time. it's too short for me and boring in few parts. anyway - respects for the typical dark ephidrena atmosphere.

the second best demo at breakpoint is this one, first place should have gone to iris... exellent work ephidrena and this demo is ranked very high in my eyes, though i did like Concrete MORE than this one :-)

@Ephidrena:
So, has any decision been made regarding a final version?
comment by rloaderror on 24 May 2004
I will not do anything amiga related until Im done with my diploma.. (15th of june). I suspect we will do a final after that.

@Loaderror:
Cool, it really deserves a final version. Good luck with getting the diploma. Is this the end of shool days and start of work days?

I should be finished now, but I have one more subject to battle before I can join the army of debt-ridden slaves of 2004 :)

Thanks for the fish! In my world, the music rocks, but I can't dig this demo to the max :) Cool with the theme though. I thought "what's with the crappy objects" until I read your little backround info comment, error. Hehe. E-lo-liloa-loli-le-loli-loa

Funny. last night I switched on my Amiga running a clean boot, setptach and muredox only and... MIRACLE!!! The demo started on PAL screen and worked till the end. 15 years later I'm still convinced that Amiga is alive. I mean: a living being... ;)
