The file is up - finally! I've found a hoster which is not the best imo. It's homepage is completely made of flash design and it's probably not the fastest. At least the file size is limited to 500 MB and it worked for me. 312 MB might take some time, so happy downloading!

Due to DVD limitations, the resolution is 352x288. The demo's native resolution is 320x180 and I didn't resize it to fit in the screen, so you will have some ugly black boarders around the picture. But since this video was made up for tv, these boarders will mostly disappear in the overscan area later.

@pintcat:
Thanks, I've got them both. Nice job!
Although with the MP4 file I've got some problems playing it correctly. It seems like the audio is playing at normal rate, but the video is twice as fast as it should be. Also, the bottom part of the display (where the black stripe should appear) is messed up (vertical stripes, the bottom line is multiplied and fills the space). Weird. Probably my codec settings are messed up, dunno.
Just one question though: I'll try to capture it again, can you tell what loseless codec you've used? And after that, how did you compress that do MPEG-2/DVD compatible stream? Thanks!

Regarding the AVC problem, which decoder are you using? FFDShow should do the job, but configuration is a bit annoying. If you like to try the latest version...

The lossless codec I've used is called Huffyuv. There are more similar codecs, but as far as I know, this one is the most efficient. It is limited to 24 or 32 bit palettes, so if you capture a video from WinUAE with full screen don't forget to set it's output color mode to 32. Codec can be found here:

If you want to create DVD compliant videos you should simply use an encoder that offers an option to do so. I use the well known TMPGEnc XPress, which is the best MPEG encoder I know. But there should also be some free programs out there...

@pintcat:
THANKS A LOT!!!
I'll try these. I've already got the FFDShow installed, but have never used HuffYUV. Will try! :-)

http://vimeo.com/28670943 - here's the highest possible quality video I could manage to capture (WinUAE). The music was rendered to WAV with DigiBoosterPro off the original song (no changes whatsoever) in HiFi 16bit/48kHz AHI Filesave. And you can download the ~500MB AVI, too ;)

Enjoy Folks.

It's a shame that there is no live recording of Gift and Planet Potion. Must have been magical to see this being shown on a big screen at a party. Timeless stuff and an incredible intro from Skip and Mavey <3
