Hi,

I'm new to the site...I'm struggling a little with the site's procedure to watch these demos....Some demos don't have either Amiga or video files to download..What do you do in this case? When there is only an Amiga 'file' listed, does that mean I can only download an view via an Amiga...

Can someone provide a brief overview on how to view these demos?

if no video for demo, solution is only real amiga or winuae (emulator) on pc. (in case if prod is 68k). If prod is 68/warp3d, winuae too. If prod PPC (aga or warp3d, does not matter), then only real amiga can help (still no emulator of ppc amigas).

But how can I convert the downloaded lha files to adf files for viewing demos via emulator? I believe, only adf files are possible for WinUAE? Is it correct?

You shouldn't try to convert lha's to adf's.

.ADF is a disk image and is usually a self-contained, bootable image of a floppy disk

.LHA is a file archive. The operating system needs to be up and running in order to access the contents of the archive (the files) using the LHA program.

So look out for an image of the operating systems. Cloanto's Amiga Forever and Amiga In A Box come to my mind. You can also start by using ADF's of the original Workbench install disks but this is going to take much longer.

WinUAE can load zip/gz-files. So I extracted the lha-files and zip it to a zip-file. The demos start automatically....

So, now I can enjoy the great work of the demo scene ;-)
