Crap, I forgot to credit AmigaVikke as well, I used his tutorials as a base to get my build environment in WinUAE going.

However now I'm switching to give boogers c+asm style a try, wish me luck! :)

Perfect little intro, nice one sdw! Can you say a couple of words (to a noob) on how you do the bg effect, pls? Do you use sprites? bobs? or...

Thanks all for your kind words!

bodhi: It's actually neither sprites nor BOBs! As I wrote in the scroller, I still haven't got everything figured out, blitter is one of those things.
So the background effect is a pure CPU thing. I have a small 20x16 buffer where I do the effect, "chunky" style and then I simply use the CPU to map each of these 3200 bytes to a 16x16 pixel tile that I write into a bitplane.

Background Effects like the tile-plasma I also used to do with CPU ... until I finally wrapped my brain around the basic Blitter functions :)

Glad to see another old War-Horse returning to the scene of the crime.

Nuuu, I'm on holiday with no amiga or net access except for my phone for another month. I foresee a trip to a net cafe to download this and winuae :)
