Hi there.

I am Brandon Walsh of Genesis Project and I am going to Datastorm 2013 to participate with a bunch of Amiga tunes this time around. The plan is:

* Amiga music = .MOD
* Amiga chip music = *.AHX
* Amiga Executable Music = *.HVL

So, I bought an Amiga 1200 and I am tracking away. It does not have a turbo card however so I can't really run hively on it so I track in Protracker and the abyss tracker on the Amiga and then write my Hively song on my Mac. I have a friend with a 060 equipped Amiga that tried out my song and it's fine to play on the 060 in the tracker, so not worried about that.

Anyway, I need to figure out if I can fit the song + replayer in the (16kb (16384 bytes) limit stipulated in the rules. My .HVL is actually 16kb in size but I can zip it down to 3kb using just average settings, so I hope that it will crunch just as well on the Amiga. Now I need to know if I can fit the song + replayer in this space.

Since I am new to the Amiga I don't really have the means to test this for myself. Would any kind soul here have a couple of minutes to spare and just let me know if this is even possible?

I.e., take the hively tracker replayer plus the demo song "afterstorm" by Syphus (included) and crunch it like crazy and see what size you end up with. It would really suck if I can't enter my song but since time is running short for the party I'd like to know now so I can focus on the other songs if this one can't enter :(.

Thanks!
Brandon
