First of all - hello everyone, it's my first post here!

Second - big thanks to Z5 for making this assome site. It rocks. And great to see you make wonders as a coder nowadays. You really took us (me and my brother Slayer) by surprise, Wouter! This lil' BP intro from you was cute. Would be great to make a tune for you one day. First I have to get my old trusty Amy working again, though.

Third - I'd like to tell you about a dream I had last year. I can barely see your frightened faces now, haha. Relax - I took my pills already :) So - 6 years ago, at the very last moments before leaving the scene, I had an idea of making Chip Trick - a collection of AHX-remixes of the famous Protracker mods. I've even managed to convince some musicians to write about 10 pretty decent tunes. But I soon found out that my motivation was gone. And I've completely forgotten about Chip Trick. For years. But then something magical has happened one day and I started to talk
about scene and stuff with my bro again. We thought that would be great if we finished CT. The problem was a coder and I still shaked in terror remembering all those years that I spent on looking for Kiss My Jazz coder before I got it finally done by Crust. Damn, that was a disaster. And one day I've woke up with two words popping in my head: brite light. Did some quick google, but it gave me no clue where it appeared to be going. And then I've found an Amiga scener called Britelite. Being inactive for so many years, I haven't connected his name with any particular
production. And forgot about it. But this week I saw his Superkewl intro and immediately felt in love with it. Top notch stuff. This guy makes exactly the kind of demos I love the most - Killer and Ephidrena inspired stuff. So now I know what my subconcious mind wanted to tell me - go back on the scene and make a demo with Britelite, haha. Seriously - I'd looove to produce a demo with him.

@jazzcat: nice to see you passing by :) It's not easy to get in touch with you, you know. Not sure about the assome site thing though. I'll take it as a compliment :)

Anyhow, i always wondered what happened with the AHX tune collection. I remember reading about your coder troubles with Kiss my jazz :)

Seriously though, do you still want to make that musicdisc? Otherwise, you can always launch a request for coders here. Electro did the same a while ago. He found a coder but his project didn't emerge yet.

Anyhow, say hi to your brother!

btw. do you still compose music outside of the scene?

Yep, I still want to finish it. The things speed up now - Slayer has just made a new menu pic and Juen has promised to put it together in a sys friendly code. So it seems like everything goes in the right direction eventually.

You can get my new tracks from MySpace page (there's a link in the profile). Most of tunes is quite recent stuff.

why not convert them to the Hivley format (if that is necessary at all - it's based on AHX) and get Xeron to join the project ?

just a thought...

Did someone mention my name? :)

Yo Jazzcat, nice to see you writing here. First off I'll have to say that Electric City is one of my favourite ahx-tunes ever! And considering that I've actually got quite some inspiration from Electricity and I want to be Machine from Appendix, I would be more than happy to make a demo with you :)

@Jazzcat: will it be only for the chip-disk or maybe (coder-dependend) a little Appendix comeback ?

Britelite: nice to meet you, Peter! Strange thing - I haven't noticed Appendix influences in Superkewl until you told about it :) But that only assured me you were my man. To put it another way - it's certainly a good omen.

Slayer: yeah, ugly bros crawled out from their caves to take over the Amiga scene again!

Z5: not sure if you know that - in 2002, after quitting the scene, I got stuck in midi music for mobile phones and scored over 150 games whilst 6 years. And was more or less kinda out of audio music biz for that time. But last year I found music making fun again. (Here I have to mention Axel/Brainstorm, but that's quite a long story). Btw - check Tracked in Time by Brs, there are some of my game midi tunes converted into mods.

P.S. You don't have to sign up anywhere. Send us a naked pic of yourself instead!

Dodge: Noo, we do not plan to reassemble Appendix crew. It's a bunch of zombies at the moment. We've hurriedly reanimated some members (Juen, Cosh, Codi) and connected 'em to drips, but the rest is a dead meat now :) So no - no Apx resurrection. We'll rather start a brand new group.

@jazzcat: just out of curiosity, are Emers and Noxis still around? I seem to remember they were brothers? Pity they left all of a sudden. Always felt they were really promising coders.

Talking about brothers, i believe Caro and Mdw are brothers too. They did great stuff for Encore.

Aahhh... lot's of good stuff came from Poland :)

ps. i had already checked out the Brs musicdisk ofcourse :)

I sure hope you guys are "in" again. Fingers crossed that this will evolve into a production sometime!

Corial and Optima as well.

It seems half the Amiga scene are pairs of brothers! ;)

Damn, didn't know there were so many brothers in the amiga scene. I was surprised to see that Pezac and Yomat are brothers.

Yeah it's funny :) I've got a twin brother as well, but just like me he only moves in the outskirts of the scene. Twins of Phenomena are also two twins, rather than one person with an interesting nickname, at least that's what I've been told.

More on topic, I'm looking forward to seeing your coming demo!

Z5: Nooo, Noxis and Emers left the scene for good. Noxis is married (to some 69 years old, retired russian plumber), has 3 children and works as a nutria farmer now. Emers is a singer in a black metal christian band and works as a salesman in a sexshop (customers call him Dick Longo and I really don't wanna know why). They are not brothers, though. Yep - they both are dramatically ugly, but it does not automatically mean they are bros.

Speaking of brothers... Don't forget Dodge's twin bro, zulu shaman Credo Mutwa!

OMG... Sure it was a joke post.

The real information is Noxis and Emers are not bros.

Yop, diggin this place was an very good idea! Sadly, second musican who make most of the tunes there, don't give me a permission to release it. I wish all the best to Jazzcat and his CT, because it will be something special!

Over and out.

So, did this thread amount in any activity or cooperation between Slayer, Jazzcat and Britelite?

If not, you definately should get together sometime and do a intro/demo :)

Wouter is a freakin' telepath. Go figure!

Yep, we just got in touch. So far we are only swapping underwear, but it goes without saying that we will start working on something more serious eventually!

Maybe you should skip the underwear swapping part now and go straight for a kick-ass, cool breakpoint 2010 prod (preferably with ahx/thx tune). You can always get to know each other more intimately after bp :)
