Hm, not sure, looks to me like a second part to "Jesus Christ Motocross". Its missing some freshness.

Almost everybody is defining this a wannabe/sequel/outtake compared to JCMX.
I think it's way more similar to Surfing Great Victoria... dunno why tho! ;)
Great, funny and cool demo anyway!!! :D

I don't get the "tries to be Jesus Christ Motorstorm" comments (but it was to be expected i guess). Jesus Christ Motorstorm was like Surfing Great Victoria and that one has the same crazy style that has been Traktor's trademark since long before these releases.

Anyhow, looked smashing, sounded really great and was very enjoyable. Great work.

z5, my point exactly! :)
Not to mention most of those "meh!" comments are coming from PC sceners (who are well-known for knowing a f**king nothing about Amiga stuff, of course! ;P)
Oh, btw: this demo is technically impressive IMHO.
(And now let's see ho long it will take for StingRay to show up and call me "Nature/Traktor fanboi!!!" ;P)

I wouldn't go so far in my wordings (no platform bashing on ada please :)) and i don't think it's related to ppl from different platforms. It was to be expected, after such a succesful demo like JCM, that it would not be easy to surpass that or to avoid references to JCM.

comment by skan on 11 April 2010

C'mon, you know me! I wasn't THAT serious anyway! ;)

comment by z5 on 11 April 2010

Well, we all know you as a Nature/Traktor fanboy so... :)

comment by skan on 11 April 2010

Hehe damn right! :)

comment by DJBase on 11 April 2010

and I am not a PC fanboy! *kisses.his.a1200* ;-)

I also fail to follow the "JCMX" wannabe sequel talk.
I assume, since Nature provided the FPS, Traktor is responsible for the 3D, storyboard, sound and finally the name of the whole thing.

In this, they NEVER tried a sequel of any sort or have risen expectations.
Just read the title: "Garden Variety Autobulk".
And that's exactly what you get :D

comment by Crumb on 12 April 2010

It's smooth, fast, crazy and fun like previous Traktor productions but IMHO next time they should use more colours and less dithering. It looks like it was using 16 colours and that kept me distracted for the whole demo projection.

comment by malmix on 12 April 2010

I think this is just as good as JCMX (well, I prefer the music from JCMX) and these two are imho not more similar than Fetish2 and Smoke Bomb or The Haujobb demo and some previous haujobb demos...

comment by extralife on 15 April 2010

nature vs. traktor, my favorite combo, since slummy vs.lub00ber left the building, but, offcoz last years smash hit motox had me expect a ton and no something here is out of place, i dont think u get drawn into this one as u did in jcmx, i still love your style and like your moves, but i think i felt u somehow didn't catch the "feel" u guys absolutely ruled bp09 with, i mean u came full throttle no limits last time, this time i felt u where holding back, but keep up your wonderfull john dere' coop i like it, but u sadly can't score an allstar with me with this piggy guys :)

comment by corial on 22 April 2010
