Hi guys. What Amiga friendly parties are planned in 2011? Datastorm and Easterparty, but do you know other parties? TRSAC is also Amiga friendly (well, combined compos) but parties like GREP and FAP seem to have faded a little away?

My own Easter trip is hanging by a thread right now, and I would like to know some alternatives.

Thanks in advance.

It seems like LCP will be back in 2011 but there is no date or location decided yet... link

Evoke does provide a "low spec" compo which includes all classic chipset Amigas.
It's been already announced to be held on August 12 - 14 2011.

I guess most parties have compos for the Amiga (just like any other platform) as long as you bring your own machine to run your entry... Please define friendly ;)

"Friendly" as in pc entries and amiga entries are not put in the very same competition, as it makes no sense to compete on these terms, imo.

I so much hope GREP will be back - both 2008 and 2009 were really nice (especially 2008 with the good weather and the bathing trip). It should be possible to attract more non-swedes. Skövde is not that difficult to reach. ;)

A summerparty would be nice, and preferably a party which is not a gazillion kilometers away. LCP is an option if the dates are right. Curt Cool is also tempted, Aske - so maybe we could make a Danish delegation (consisting of 3 Danes, wow) to the party...

Now, the cat is finally out of the bag.
The new easter party is called REVISION and will be held in Saarbrücken

see their website

Compowise there will be some REVISIONs regarding the Amiga & C=64 intros.
All former independent intro competitions will be merged into one.
Don't know about the Amiga Demo compo but I hope this will stay independent
as only CHANGES in the competition structure to Breakpoint have been posted yet.

And to be honest, I think this is a good change, even though Blueberry will now officially kick our 64k asses :-D

Yeah, same goes for me. I'm too old for caring about winning fancy prizes. Beers, friends and partycoding \o/
