The Breakpoint 2007 page is up here.

Will TBL strike back and win for the 6th time or will IRIS win for the 2nd time? Will Ephidrena have a finished demo this time and finally win BP, building on their superb Lux Aeterna engine (which introduced a lot of new stuff)?
Will Tulou bring another "feel-good" demo and build further on the strengths of their previous well-received demo?
Will Loonies present yet another great 4k or maybe even a 64k?
Will RNO bring us another dope ecs release?
...

And will there be new coders appearing or ex-coders making a come back?

Time will tell... still more than 3 months to go.

It will be very hard for TBL or anyone to top Starstruck ! Still looking forward to seeing the new releases.

Winden/Kalms are you working on any demo at the moment ?

@Toffee:

Winden hasn't coded anything big (demo) since 1998 so i don't think we'll see a comeback from him. In general, i'm being a bit too optimistic about people making a comeback... they rarely do.

Still it would be nice to see some new coders. From the forums here, it seems several people are still willing to learn (and you've got people who already know a lot and definately should try making a prod,... aren't they toffeeman :o))

Starstruck/TBL got best Graphics (Eph should have deserved this) and best Direction at the Scene.org awards.

@toffee: i'm afraid i got stuck at using email (i don't use irc nor msn). But i'm sure we will get time to talk about them here on A.D.A

@z5: yeah, I almost couldnīt believe that I found time to do something again. Leisner is far from technically advanced, and therefore I also considered releasing it outside a party, but on the other hand I really wanted to see some of my own stuff on a 6x4 metres screen again :-)

Well, that was it for this year amiga bp releases. The demo compo had 9 demos. And while it was fantastic to see Madwizards back, there was no demo from last year's top 3 (IRIS, TBL and Eph), which was surprising in a way :(

In general, it seems that the number of releases went up this year compared to last year, but the quality went down.

Good to see an increase in releases this year. I want to see the demos a second time before I comment on the quality though. The demo at the end got a lot of cheers during the demo.

Having watched a demo comp live for the first time just made me wish I'd seen some of my fav demos ever live as well. Would have been great to see Starstruck live last year.

I see Desert Dream was re-made for the C-64 and was very well received.

Looking forward to the PC comp now hopefully Chaos will have a quality release.

klipper: Thank very much I used Irc like you said (first time in 5 years!). There was 400 people on there and it was quite hectic trying to keep up. Even chatted to Sire (Ex Sanity, Lego) but it was really good hearing other peoples reaction during the comp. There were a lot of people shouting Amiga through the PC demo comp.

Watching the PC demo comp was unbeleivable. Fair play to Farbrausch that was just awesome. The reaction from the crowd during the demo made it even better. Do you think there will be anywhere you can download the video of it being played at the party ?

Cool, the Farbrausch demo is actually a 177kb demo! Seems that Werkzeug is a bloody good tool....

The legendary Amiga group Andromeda made a comeback on pc aswell (last demo in 1994).

There were about 6 good demos in the pc compo imo. The fr demo was impressive visually and technically, but a bit boring imo.

Any word on what happened with IRIS? This time i was so sure that they would have an ami demo...
